DREAMS
/THE NATURAL ORDINANCES OF DREAMS:
/An Insight In Understanding The Spiritual Compass Of Life.
SERIES 2.
Suffice to remind us here in this series that dreams are essentially messages passed on to humans from a realm of existence that is different from our physical life. Yet, for some curious reasons, you maybe surprised that some people do not dream at all. And the scope of these series may not cover the complexities for such deviations. But we shall enumerate the purposes of dreams for humanity as follows:
1. Dreams are revelations of certain hidden secrets, mysterious facts or Truth about life. They show events that happened in the past or perhaps they speak concerning the present or the future. In the Scriptures of the Bible, Daniel was shown the dream that Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon dreamt; and the interpretations of the same dreams in his dreams. Read the book of Daniel 2:1-49.
2. Dreams connect humans to God. At any point in time, no man can see God and live! So, dreams become an important bridge to establish a constant relationship with God. They are means of communication between the spiritual beings and man. In the scriptures of the Bible, Genesis 28:10 - 13; Jacob saw a dream, of a ladder which stood on the earth and it's top reached to the heavens. And the angels ascending and descending through it. And the Lord stood above it.
3. Dreams serve to guide or direct men as instructions. In the Gospel of Jesus Christ; Acts 10:1 - 43; Cornelius and Peter were directed by instructions conveyed through dreams. God appeared to Cornelius in a dream when He accepted his offering. God directed Cornelius to send for Simon Peter, who was lodged with Simon the tanner, in the town of Joppa; who shall baptize Cornelius in the new faith.
4. Dreams are a window of opportunity for God to bless humans. The young King Solomon was blessed by God in this manner. Read in the Bible, the book of 1st Kings 3: 3 - 15.
5. Dreams serve as a warning to against impending danger. God warned ancient Egypt of drought and famine through Pharaoh's dreams which Joseph interpreted. Genesis 40: 1 - 36. Again, see the interpretation of the dreams of the Prisoner in Genesis 40: 1 - 36.
6. God teaches knowledge, wisdom and understanding through dreams. Read this one about the wisdom of King Solomon in 1st Kings 3: 3 - 15.
7. The skills or craftsmanship for clever inventions, technology, scientific inventions or development in health and medical innovations; are mostly acquired in dreams. God told Moses, that He had called and filled Aholiab and Bezaleel with the Spirit of God, in cunning inventions and in all manner of craftsmanship. Read this in Exodus 31: 1 - 11 and Exodus 35: - 30.
